¡Hablemos de novedades! Angels & Airwaves, la banda liderada por Tom DeLonge, está de regreso con un nuevo material discográfico. El cual ha sido anunciado tras el adelanto de ‘Losing My Mind’. Una pista con dosis de sarcasmo que para sorpresa de todos se ha enfocado en el hermano mayor del personaje Boomer de ‘First Date’, el inmortal video de Blink-182.
Tom DeLonge hace de las suyas interpretando el inesperado papel de Disco, quien aparte de estar relacionado a Boomer es el centro de atención del reciente clip, pues busca convertirse en una estrella de “Tic Tac” con la ayuda del popular tiktoker Rampage. ‘Losing My Mind’ presenta al loco dúo disfrutando el ritmo de la canción por las calles de Las Vegas y añade escenas pegadizas que convierten al single en una pieza musical con gran energía.
Acerca de la letra, DeLonge explica: “Quería escribir una canción sobre una idea totalmente loca que nunca sucedería, como, ¿qué pasaría si nuestro propio país estuviera siendo destrozado por racistas, una pandemia y terrorismo interno, pero todo al mismo tiempo … ya sabes, solo mierda normal inventada que nunca sucedería “.
“Abundan los idiotas y todos ellos son jodidamente racistas … Este mundo está en llamas y yo soy hielo. No puedo equilibrar las cosas últimamente, creo que vamos a morir … Vivo al borde de perder la cabeza. La voz en mi yead, ahora es un incendio fatal en la casa”, canta DeLonge.
Después de 7 años, Angels & Airwaves ha decidido lanzar el seguimiento de ‘The Dream Walker’ de 2014, ‘Lifeforms’, el cual estrenará el 24 de setiembre mediante Rise Records. ‘Losing My Mind’ es una de las piezas que integra el material. En otras noticias, la alineación de la banda compuesta por Ilan Rubin (baterista), David Kennedy (guitarrista), Matt Rubano (bajista) y Tom DeLonge (vocalista y guitarrista) ha programado una gira mundial que iniciará el 31 de julio de este año y finalizará el 27 de marzo de 2022.
